Had the worst experience tonight....got turned away by the bar staff, asked for security myself,he was nice, his manager was a hole!!would complain about this place but whats the point!terrible venue! - Anon, Ireland - May 27, 20111111

I genuinely like the design of this bar but we had out staff christmas party runied here last night by security who were constantly harassing us saying they'll throw us out for 'dancing like drunks' when we were far from it. Having a bouncer watch your every moves for the entire night is very unappealing - Rebecca, ireland - Dec 19, 2010133NR

A nice spot but ruined by rude security, beware one sideways look and you'll have a bouncer stalk you for the night ready to throw you out, epecially the baldy one - roger, ireland - Dec 14, 2010233NR

the place itself isn't have bad but its brought down by the total over crowding and childish irresponsible boucners who disrupt the mood with their ott procedures, Avoid on most nights out - anon, cork - Dec 4, 2010113NR

we had a fairly decent night out here but found the place to be a bit over crowded. the bar staff were pleasent enough but security was a bit over expressive,we saw people being haressed for no reason - marie, cork - Dec 4, 2010233NR

Had a very bad experience here recently due to over crowding and bouncers who seems more interested in causing hassle than keeping things moving along, many many better places in cork than this - sean, cork - Dec 4, 2010133NR

First time here and wouldn't go back, have to pay after 11 apparently.

We had an okay night there, music was poor and the staff were okay, albeit a bit pushy for an older age group who come here. we were told in no uncertain terms o move out and obey the orders of the bouncers, okay tolerate if your young but the slightly more aged of us can get affended by this - LOUISE, MALLOW - Dec 4, 2010

Just Stunning, absolutely beautiful, great music, great lights great sound system. And that's just the club nights. a lovely daytime vibe, the smoking area upstairs and down is a great idea, why don't other pubs try this hard? - May 25, 20105555

this place is great,i saw it on face book and went, its just open since july i think,so a bit unfair some reviews - willy p, south tipp - Mar 2, 20105544

WEnt there on Saturday night 30 of us never again, music was terrible asked DJ to play one or two songs we need he said if we didnt like the music to leave! Not impressed - Kilkenny, Ireland - Sep 29, 20092NRNRNR

went there on a saturday night and thought the place looked great, service was very fast too, the many bars help in that regard. good music and athmosphere. staff seem sound;):) id go again tbh - neil briers, cork - Jul 12, 20094544

Bad service, ugly surroundings and thoroughly disgusting food makes an altogether miserable experience. Avoid at all costs!!! - Anon, Cork Ireland - Jul 10, 20091121

Was out with a group of girls last weekend at a charity fashion show , decided to go for one drink before going home and decided to go to the Bodega as it was newly re-opened again. They were charging €12 at the door so mentioned to my friend it would be an expensive last call ! Door men were rude and main bouncer childish when he would not leave me to collect a gift from a friend who did decide to pay €12. Wont be back there in a hurry. - Majella , Cork, Ireland - Jun 28, 20091NRNRNR

just home from a nite in the bodega. horredous experience. bar staff too busy dancing around the place trying to look cool. took 16 mins to get a glass of water. believe me i know because i was so bored waiting i kept lookin at my watch . unbelievable and so rude. hope to never go there again - breda, ireland - Nov 8, 2008111NR

it is huge but there is no atmosphere there what so ever and the service isn't great

yet another crap bar in cork.... - Johnny O'Mahony, Ireland - Jan 1, 2008111NR

The food is excellent but you wouldn't want a pint of stout in a hurry. Good club on a Friday night. - Aug 1, 20064335

Good Pub. Some poncey people hang out there on a Saturday night though - Steve, Ireland - Apr 19, 200645NRNR

Free wifi with your coffee, smoking room and cute barmen. What's not to like? - cpulass, eire - Aug 25, 20055555

Big open pub with good staff and excellent quality food.Nice vibe with a real mix of people - great place. - Jul 5, 20054445

Quite a few attractive women here, the food's fine, pint is reasonable. Good opportunity to win money at pool, as people with proto-mullets and crap 'fin' hairstyles generally can't play for toffee. Plenty fashion victim here, so bring your cue. - Noel, Cork - Mar 18, 20053333

Pretty nice, excellent surroundings. - David, Ireland - Mar 9, 2005444NR
