| We stopped off here on route to Galway from Shannon Airport, it was a first stop for us and one of the most memorable. As my wife was driving, it allowed me the opportunity to try some Guinness which had now been over a year, the Guiness is just not the same in Boston. I asked the man at the bar if the guiness was good, and he explained he hopes so as a new beer cooling system was in. It was beautiful, I am not an expert on guinness, but it was creamy all the way down, I believe this is good, it was not anything like the bitter guinness at home, and surprisingly lovely and cold unlike the one I had earlier at the airport. We stayed on for dinner, and I had what I can only describe as one excellent steak, my wife had a fine plate of chicken goujons. (super helpings, nearly American) What a great stop this was, nice people, great food, and 3 lovely pints of guinness, I hope we can get to stop on the way back to Shannon. Well done Joyces bar I will recommend this to my family and friend David Glover Boston, MA, USA. - Aug 3, 2006 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 4 |
