| Situated in the Valley of the Kings River on the outskirts of Kilkenny, between the medieval village of Kells and Stoneyford, Lawcus is a superbly renovated stone farm house offering its guests luxury and tranquility. Three of the accommodations are split level, with separate living and dining area, refurbished to the highest standard. The Gold room (family room) has two doubles and 1 single bed. The Oak room has 2 single and 1 double bed. The Hunter?s room has 2 single beds. The Stone and Brennans room offer their own enchanted feel with double brass beds. The breakfast dining room has a wonderful original Inglenook fire place where you can enjoy a full Irish breakfast. Less than a stone's throw away the cut grass paths bring you down to the Kings River where you may encounter some of her myriad of wildlife. Wild flowers also survive here on this ancient site. The village pubs are friendly offering traditional music or a barbecue in a cosy atmosphere. A working water mill, mote and bailey and the famous Kells priory are all within walking distance. It would give us great pleasure to share this wonderful part of Ireland with you and make it one to remember. |

| Breakfast Included Breakfast | Lawcus Farm Guesthouse is 8 miles south of the medieval city of Kilkenny. Take the N10 towards Waterford for approximately 8miles. On approaching the first village (Stonyford) turn right for Kells, our sign will be visible half a mile on the right into an entrance lane. Follow this lane to the end. From Rosslare, take Cork road N25. Follow to New Ross for approx. 18miles. Turning right on the R700 road, head for Inistioge /Thomas town /Kilkenny. Keep left through Thomas town. Drive over a bridge half a mile past Jerpoint Abbey and turn right at trout farm. Follow past Mount Juliet. Keep right through Stonyford, take a second left at bottom of village and a half mile on the right up the hill is our sign. Follow the gravel lane to the end. From Cork Take the N24 direction Clonmel. In Clonmel town after 1mile on Waterford road, turn left for Kilkenny. Take first exit into Callen. At cross roads in town turn right for Kells. After a half a mile over a stone bridge, turn left and follow into Kells. Go straight through past the castle and after a half a mile on the left, our sign will be visible. |
