Harbour House is a 50 bed Tourist Board APPROVED hostel with en-suite single rooms, double rooms, twin rooms, family rooms and dormitory rooms.

Built in 1860 for the Harbour Master, when Sligo was one of the busiest ports in Ireland; this old house has retained its character, while being turned into warm clean comfortable accommodation at affordable prices - a little more than a hostel. It is situated only twelve minutes walk from the centre of Sligo town and the main train and bus terminus for the North West of Ireland.

Groups of 10 or more can enjoy a continental breakfast. We also offer our guests self catering facilities for tea, coffee, and snacks. We do also Laundry Facilities.

Sligo has many facilities to offer visitors. Because of its position, Harbour House is close to all amenities such as sea and lake fishing, shark fishing, scuba diving, bowling, swimming, golfing, windsurfing, sailing, and many other outdoor and indoor pursuits. All are just within minutes of Harbour House.

If you wish to eat out, Sligo has many restaurants and hotels which provide the most varied of menus, sure to please the most discerning of tastes. There are five Nightclubs in Sligo, providing music till late all through the week, not to mention the array of pubs with live music and good conversation, which every visitor should go out and sample.

See our map on your booking confirmation. By Car From the North - the main road will bring you to Hughes Bridge. Stay in the outside lane and turn right immediately on crossing the bridge onto Ballast Quay. Follow the road until you come to the roundabout outside Harbour House. From the South and east, stay on N4 and at the 4th set of traffic lights turn left on to finisklin road continue on under bridge to roundabout at Harbour House.		Latest check-in time is 10 pm, check-out time is 10 am. You can hold a room later than 10 oclock at an additional cost, please check with reception before 10pm previous evening.
